We are pleased to announce the CHI Summer School on Automotive User Interfaces and Future Mobility held at Ulm University and the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. Being held in two locations enables participants to explore two leading universities in automotive research and to gain insights from various leading experts. Participants will learn about topics covering human factors, methodology, and voice interfaces. They will also experience demonstrations of the latest research prototypes. The keynotes will present an overview of automotive user interfaces, automated driving, and the inclusion of vulnerable road users. Additionally, we invite speakers from industry to present their approaches and solutions. Furthermore, participants will be able to pitch their ideas in poster sessions and develop prototypes in hands-on sessions. For this, there will be brainstorming exercises and introductions to prototyping tools and methods. The workshop also covers topics regarding other forms of mobility from the viewpoint of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians or bicyclists. Besides, informal activities and social events will provide vivid experiences to connect with other researchers from around the world.
